2012 is the year of London. With so many high profile events taking place, this really is the city to be.
We’ve had the Diamond Jubilee with our street parties and bunting, and we’ve been enjoying Wimbledon and our strawberries and cream but we still have the epic London 2012 Olympics too. Is anyone else excited?
Well we know one group who are with the launch of their London Calling BBC advert. That’s right the BBC’s London Calling campaign which is being celebrated throughout the world is designed to attract more tourists to London. By promoting London based documentaries, comedies and dramas on their worldwide BBC channels, the BBC are taking full advantage of what London has to offer this year. With the Ellie Goulding song ‘Lights’ accompanying it, the advert is a series of clips from across London as it lights up, from rowing on the Thames to lanterns in Chinatown, London calling really is a celebration of what this capital has to offer.
